Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has received praise for his performance in the 3-2 victory away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Mykhailo Mudryk struck the opener as Chelsea beat Forest 3-2 at the City Ground on Saturday evening. The £89m signing has been criticised for his lack of effort since signing for Chelsea, but Alan Smith believes Mudryk is now looking like the player Chelsea paid big money to sign.
Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith told Sky Sports: “Mykhaylo Mudryk is looking a bit more like it lately.
“It helps that this is his fifth start on the trot, that is his best.
“He’s bound to gain a bit more match sharpness and rhythm and there should be a lot more to come from the lad. He looks to be heading in the right direction.”
Smith added: “Inch-perfect precision in the pass and the finish. He starts really wide here, Mudryk, and makes that diagonal run out to it. No surprise Cole Palmer sees the run and delivers perfectly, as does the Ukraine international.
“I earmarked him at the start, and that will push him along on his journey. Lovely finish, great start for Chelsea.”
