Chelsea working to complete the signing of 24-year-old Belgian striker

Premier League giants, Chelsea continue to work on bringing good players to the club with Enzo Maresca taking charge the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Newsinfonigeria understands that the Blues are interested in signing Lois Openda from RB Leipzig this summer.

The Blues are also looking at other options but now they look at Openda to add his quality to their squad. 

According to the information, a bid of £70m will trigger a move in summer 2025 from RB Leipzig, but Chelsea could try to make a big offer this summer and get the deal done. There are two other top clubs in the Premier League and La Liga who are keen on Openda, so Chelsea are keen to get a deal done soon. 

Openda made 33 starts and one substitute appearance in the Bundesliga last season. He scored 24 goals and gave seven assists in those games. The 24-year-old Belgium international striker scored four goals in seven starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League last season.
